Dear Colleagues,

It is our pleasure to invite you to the 2022 International Symposium and Annual Meeting of the Korean Society of Food Science and Nutrition (KFN). The annual meeting will be held at the ICC JEJU in Jeju Island, Korea on October 19-21, and is themed “New Frontiers for Green Biotechnology in Food Science and Nutrition.”

This year is a stepping-stone towards the 100th anniversary of the Korean Society of Food Science & Nutrition (KFN) following the 50th anniversary last year. Since its inception in 1971, KFN has been at the forefront of scientific research in food science & nutrition, with the goal of supporting improvements in human health and nutrition. KFN remains an internationally recognized central hub for academic and industrial advancement in the fields of food science and nutrition.

As the COVID-19 pandemic is drawing to a close, we can fully engage face-to-face at ICC JEJU and share our knowledge of food science and nutrition. This year, we have prepared a variety of symposium sessions with the theme of “Green Biotechnology for Sustainable Growth Beyond the COVID-19 Era”. The program diversity will provide a stimulating platform for discussing the important issues and topics, in food and nutrition, with global academic and industrial experts. Participants, including the students, will engage in poster competitions, oral presentations, and food product development sessions.

We look forward to an information-filled meeting with world-renowned scientists and industrial experts and sharing innovative and exciting scientific developments at the 2022 KFN meeting.
